Yaovi Atohoun is an electrical engineer with more than 30  years of work experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). He has worked for the Association of African Universities (AAU) as a Senior IT Officer from 2008 to 2012.  He has coordinated many activities for the USAID/Leland Initiative (an Internet Development Project) in Africa from 1997 to 2004. From 1992 to 1997 he worked as a consultant to computerize the News Agency in West African countries for the WANAD/UNESCO project. He was involved in many community activities as a volunteer for AfriNIC, AFNOG, the ICANN At-Large Advisory Committee and the ICANN nomination committee
