Input to Competition, Consumer Choice, Consumer Trust Review Team
The Competition, Consumer Trust and Consumer Choice (CCT Review Team) is responsible for evaluating 1) how the new gTLD Program has promoted competition, consumer trust and consumer choice; 2) the effectiveness of the application and evaluation processes; 3) the effectiveness of safeguards put in place to mitigate issues involved in the expansion of the domain name space.

Coordination meeting of Schools of Internet Governance
Schools of Internet Governance (SIGs) have emerged as an important means of Capacity Building in Internet Governance (IG). There has been a surge in interest worldwide in IG on account several factors, and consequently, there has been an increase in demand for trained IG resources capable of participating in global processes. This has resulted in new SIGs in several regions, while other regions and countries are increasingly feeling the need for their own SIGs.
While this is a welcome development, it is perhaps important to recognize the diversity of content, methodology, faculty, resources, language and quality among SIGs. It is felt that co-ordination amongst SIGs would be useful in addressing these challenges, while also enabling other synergies such as sharing each others' contents and experiences. An institutional mechanism that would enable such co-ordination would be a positive step towards strengthening SIGs world-wide.
This meeting, hosted by APRALO and supported by the Asia-Pacific School on Internet Governance (APSIG), will bring together representatives of regions and countries who have organized SIGs or who want to initiate SIGs, and discuss means of enhancing co-operation amongst them and also evolving a common, global, institutional mechanism for this purpose. Agenda: 1. Welcome and Introduction - Satish Babu 2. Current Status of SIGs - Kilnam Chon with others 2.1 Regional SIGs; EuroSSIG, SSIG, MEAC-SIG, APSIG, APIGA 2.2 National SIGs: Brazil, China, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka,... 3. IGF: Workshops, 2016 Retreat, Dynamic Coalition 4. MOOCs 5. Open Discussion

Operating Standards Workshop to Socialize with Community
“Provide your input on Operating Standards for how to conduct Reviews”
Share your input on the development of Operating Standards to make ICANN Specific and Organizational Reviews more efficient, consistent and transparent.
What is it and why does it matter? Operating Standards provide a system to conduct Specific and Organizational Reviews and tools to assist with the Review process. Specific Reviews (CCT Review, SSR Review, ATRT Review, and RDS/WHOIS Review) and Organizational Reviews (GNSO Review, At-Large Review, etc.) are mandated by the new Bylaws. These Reviews are very important to assess ICANN’s performance with regard to its commitments. Review Operating Standards provide tools to bring consistent rules, clarity and transparency to the various Review processes.
This session will offer an opportunity to provide input into the draft outline and raise important questions such as: • How to structure the new operating standards to make them useful to the ICANN community; • How should the new nomination and selection process for Specific Reviews (SSR, CCT, ATRT, RDS) work.
Who should attend? This session is the continuation of a dialogue that started during the drafting of the new Bylaws. If you have participated in Reviews before, or are interested in the subject of Reviews, you are especially encouraged to attend.
